Certification for the Sonographic Diagnostic Efficiency Protocol (SDEP®) is awarded to the sonographer with the highest level of sonographic image capture skills (still & video) combined with the most diagnostically efficient manner of obtaining those images as well as the ability to verbalize key points of the SDEP® protocol.

Not only does this add a feather to your cap professionally, it also validates the diagnostic capabilities of your hospital and assures your pet owners that their pet is getting the best care possible.
 
Post lab, virtual training and support services are available through SonoPath’s educational telemedicine™ services where attendees can work with SonoPath remotely to perfect their image sets.
 
Requirements for Certification:
Attend Hands-On Course. In the cavity in which certification is sought. Because the practical exam will require advanced level scanning to pass, many people, depending on their scanning experience, take more than one course to move from beginner or intermediate to advanced stations.
Completion of the SDEP Unleashed course(Virtual Lab) in the cavity sought is acceptable as a substitute.
Pass Written Exam. The passing grade requirement is 90% correct as determined solely by SonoPath. If the registrant is judged not to have passed on the first attempt, they may retest until passed. Changes may be made to the online quiz at any time.
Pass Practical Exam. Complete a perfect SDEP® Ultrasound within 15 minutes on one cat, one small-med dog and one large dog (over 65#). Cases are submitted using SonoPath's online telemedicine case uploader.
