Deep Dive into the Heart
The 2027 SonoPath International Summit brings together leading veterinary cardiology and ultrasound practitioners and educators for three days of focused clinical education. Topics range from feline and canine cardiomyopathies and myxomatous mitral valve disease to pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, arrhythmias, portosystemic shunting, and thromboembolic disease.
The program emphasizes practical interpretation, diagnostic challenges, clinical decision-making, and common pitfalls encountered in everyday practice.
Attendees will also participate in case-based sessions and a closing cardiology roundtable and expert panel exploring current controversies in veterinary cardiology.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this Summit, attendees will be able to:
Recognize and differentiate common feline & canine cardiomyopathies
Apply current approaches to diagnosis, staging, and management of cardiac disease
Improve interpretation of echocardiographic findings in MMVD and other common cardiac conditions
Recognize sonographic and echocardiographic features of pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease
Identify pericardial effusion, cardiac masses, arrhythmias, and important cardia mimics
Recognize ultrasound findings associated with thromboembolic disease and portosystemic shunting
Identify common technical and diagnostic pitfalls in cardiac imaging
Integrate imaging findings with clinical presentation to support diagnostic and treatment decisions
Develop a structured approach to challenging cardiac cases
