Course Overview:
Ultrasound findings rarely exist in isolation. Clinical Sonography: Tricks of the Trade focuses on how blood chemistry markers, effusions, cardiac issues, abnormal imaging patterns, and disease processes guide and refine the sonographic examination. This course emphasizes the critical link between clinical data, patient presentation, and imaging to improve diagnostic accuracy.
 
Through practical case-based discussions and pattern recognition strategies, this course works through the albumin game, the bilirubin game, multiple myeloma, and GI foreign body cliff notes to help guide and refine the sonographer’s examination. 
 
Special attention is given to abdominal mass evaluation, including how to identify the origin of masses and trace them back to the primary organ involved. The course also explores practical diagnostic reasoning in cases involving ascites and common systemic disease processes that influence imaging interpretation.
